Content: 4% (i.e. 40mg of gentamicin sulfate per 1mL, calculated as gentamicin)
Indications
This product is an aminoglycoside antibiotic mainly used to treat bacterial infections in livestock and poultry caused by sensitive bacteria, including:
Intestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections caused by Gram negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Proteus, etc.
Local or systemic infections caused by Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus.
Pigs: yellow and white dysentery, edema disease, sepsis, etc. in piglets.
Poultry: Escherichia coli disease, duck infectious serositis, etc.
[Usage and Dosage]
Intramuscular injection (recommended) or subcutaneous injection, and if necessary, intravenous drip can be administered slowly.
Dose (calculated as gentamicin):
Pigs and sheep: 2-4 mg/kg body weight (i.e. 0.05~0.1 mL/kg), 1-2 times a day, for 3-5 consecutive days.
Cattle: 1-2 mg/kg body weight (i.e. 0.025~0.05 mL/kg), twice a day, for 3-5 consecutive days.
Poultry (such as chickens and ducks): 5-10mg/kg body weight (i.e. 0.125-0.25mL/kg), once a day, for 3 consecutive days.
Adverse reactions
Renal toxicity: Long term or excessive use may cause damage to renal tubules (especially in animals with dehydration or renal insufficiency).
Ototoxicity: Occasional vestibular nerve damage (such as ataxia and hearing loss).
Neuromuscular blockade: High doses may cause difficulty breathing and muscle weakness (which can be relieved with calcium supplements).
[Precautions and Warning]
Taboo:
Animals allergic to aminoglycosides are prohibited.
Avoid combining with other nephrotoxic drugs (such as furosemide, cephalosporins) or neuromuscular blockers (such as succinylcholine).
Use with caution:
Animals with renal insufficiency or dehydration need to reduce or extend the dosing interval.
Pregnant animals should be used with caution (can pass through the placental barrier).
Drug resistance: Long term low-dose use is not recommended to avoid the development of drug-resistant strains.
[Rest period for medication]
Pigs and sheep: After intramuscular injection, the medication should be stopped 28 days before slaughter;
Cattle: Stop medication 40 days before slaughter;
Poultry: Stop medication 14 days before slaughter;
Milk: Abandoned for 5 days.

Keep away from light, sealed, and stored in a cool place (not exceeding 20 ºC) to prevent freezing.
